About Original Circles |
|
|
Original Circles is 100%
owned and operated by its members. The dances play a great mix of slow R&B and Rock and Roll tunes, designed to get couples dancing together on the dance floor. We maintain a good balance of men to women to allow for maximum enjoyment. Dress code is relaxed, a chance to wear that hot clubwear you might not wear to a lounge. Genitals must be covered, and a cover-up available for the public areas. Membership for both Couples and Singles is restricted to those that respect the privacy and limits of others. Before attending a dance, you must first attend a 15 minute orientation that will help explain what we expect. In addition to being the hottest dance in town for couples, OCs is also a good place to meet other sex positive or 'lifestyle' couples and individuals in a pressure-free environment. With no on-premise playrooms, people have a chance to meet and talk before heading out to play. OC does not serve alcohol. Email us about our rules and privileges concerning on-premises alcohol consumption. We provide food and soft-drinks at the dances. We are a members' owned and managed non-profit organization, licensed in the state of Washington.
The Fine Print
Original Circles was established in
April of 1969. During this time there were several "circles" clubs,
they eventually combined into one as "Original Circles of the
Northwest". In 1974 the club became a licensed non-profit
organization in the State of Washington as "Original Circles of the
Northwest, Inc.". In 2002 the club was reorganized and relicensed
as "Original Circles, Inc." (OCs) OCs is 100% owned and operated by all members. Each December the membership has elections for the 12 Board of Directors and 1 Chairman of the Board. These people are members of OCs. There are 5 Officers then elected by the membership. they consist of the Chairman of the Board, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Trustee.
We are a a 501(c)7 Recreational and Social Club. As such, individual contributions to the OC are not tax deductible. Businesses may have some deductions available to them. Contact us for more information.
